johanna koenig, president and founder of bizladies started her career in the vienna hilton hotel as paymaster and operations analyst.
after being successful as credit manager in the duesseldorf hilton hotel, she decided to go back to vienna to further her professional career.
at this time johanna koenig met with oskar werner (the most famous austrian actor in hollywood in the past - "ship of fools"). she organized readings and film-retrospectives in vienna during the year of his death.
subsequently with her intellectual inspiration through oskar werner and book keeping know-how of hilton hotels, johanna organized wonderful parties at palais auersperg in vienna. four years later there was a new challenge in hotel managment for her. johanna koenig was announced youngest female hotel manager in austria at the tender age of 29 and she explored new ways to manage the austrotel and was most successful.
the next important step was the prime rock-concert promoter in austria (rolling stones, bon jovi, deep purple). she was in charge of organizing classical concerts with fringe events. several highlights were sensational, like the first open air concert in schoenbrunn castle with josé carreras and the first christmas in vienna at the city hall in 1992 with placido domingo, diana ross and josé carreras. johanna koenig created a superb gala dinner with the three stars at palais ferstel.
1992 was the grand openeing of johanna koenig's own event company [ jk:events]. she organized major events like the europe-presentation of the a-class mercedes benz for the general importer or shows for brand events (for example austrotherm, murexin, baumit, kenzo, mont blanc and the final opening of the austrian cultural forum in new york.
there is one thing johanna koenig truly knows - how to celebrate a sincerely brilliant party at the perfect location. all the knowledge was condensed in her book feste feiern published at falter verlag, vienna. the book is out in the updated 7th version - www.falter.at.
[ jk:events ] in new york was launched in march 2000. johanna koenig established her very own refinement over the years as event planner. very young, hype and fancy. some clients say, she is en vogue and very smart, always with european flair and a dash of viennese life style - of course.
back in vienna, she founded bizladies, an unique network platform for entrepreneurs and ladies in leading positions in firms. now five destinations are open - vienna, klagenfurt, linz bahrain and munich since september 2011. bratislava is following in 2012.
